ALL CLASSES ARE 45 MINUTES
Intro to Iyengar Yoga
Avoid the chaos and frustration of most modern yoga classes and learn to perform the asanas (poses) with proper alignment and form, as you explore and connect to your own body. This course may be taken multiple times until the student is ready for more advanced yoga postures.
Iyengar Yoga (Beginner Series)
This is a beginner level class working our way through B.K.S. Iyengar's "Light On Yoga" Course One series that uses yoga asanas (poses) to improve strength, flexibility and balance. The focus is on each of the asanas (poses) and proper body alignment. The instructor will guide you thru a series of poses to strengthen, stretch and engage your body, as well as your mind.
Iyengar Yoga (Intermediate Series)
This is a more advanced class. It is recommended that the student take the beginner series first or have at least 6 months experience practicing yoga.
Yin Yoga (Stretch and Flexibility)
This class usually consists of a series of long-held, gentle, passive (relaxed) stretches that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The stretches are held for three to five minutes, sometimes longer.
Strength & Cardio Circuit (Bootcamp)
The circuit consists of 7-9 stations that change daily, and are performed at your own pace, weights and intensity until time runs out.
(aka MetCon) The MetCons are designed to rev up your metabolism and burn calories. This class utilizes the many types of intervals and combinations of exercises to elicit a metabolic response. You'll still go at your own individual fitness level, but the weights can get heavy, and you'll go faster, and sweat. Suitable for all fitness levels; intermediate to advanced students.
